Uganda’s tour of Qatar kicks off with a three-match T20i series in Doha, which starts at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium on February 12. The live action gets underway at 18:00 local time.
Qatar’s most recent T20i series saw them whitewash Jersey with three wins from three and they now sit 22nd in the ICC T20i rankings as a result.
Uganda, meanwhile, have not played since missing out on qualification for the finals of the T20 World Cup qualifier. They are 35th in the ICC world rankings.

Nouman Sarwar: Took 4-14 in Qatar’s most recent T20 international – figures which took the medium-pacer to 18 wickets in 13 T20i innings.
Kamran Khan: His half-century in the win against Jersey last time out took him to exactly 100 runs in the three-game series. It was his second T20i half-century and he boasts a strike rate of 134.09.
Muhammad Tanveer: The 39-year-old veteran was one of the Qatari international stars of the Qatar T10 League, building on some excellent T20i form too. He has four half-centuries in 15 matches, with a strike rate of 129.30 and an average of 38.90.

Qatar’s last T20i series ended in a dominant win against Jersey, winning all three matches. The bowlers saved the best until last as Nouman Sarwar took 4-14, leaving Qatar just 102 to win. Kamran Khan (51*) led the way as they claimed an eight-wicket victory with 6.5 overs to spare.

Arnold Otwani: Took four catches behind the stumps in his most recent international to confirm his glovework. He is looking for his first T20i half-century but he can set the tempo at the top of the order.
Brian Masaba: An all-rounder capable of pace or leg-spin with the ball and who proved his batting and bowling quality with some important performances in each in the recent Cricket World Cup Challenge League fixtures.

Uganda failed to advance from a rain-affected from a rain-affected ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier – Africas Region group. Since their T20i disappointment, however, they have returned to good form internationally – in December, they won all five of their inaugural matches at the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League Group B.
